Past the pain comes reward through faith in Jesus Christ

Stop “Prophecy Chasing”

One of the biggest mistakes people make is chasing after prophecy, without being able to differentiate between true prophecy and prophetic teaching. God uses prophets and prophetess to teach and edify the spirit of the listener through the Holy Spirit.

However, many are captivated by the allure of “future information” but fail to recognize the deep counsel and healing available through the profound teachings of Father God’s Word spiritually.

Unfortunately, many are missing out on these transformative teachings as they are too busy chasing after future predictions and forecasts.

Nonetheless, the prayers of many of God’s people are being answered through the teachings of genuine prophets and mouthpieces. However, there is a tendency for some to be too preoccupied with chasing after prophecies, some of which are false or manipulated by individuals who simply follow the latest trends. As a result, they miss out on the healing and spiritual growth that come from authentic teachings.

Folks, it is crucial to exercise discernment and seek teachings from reliable and credible sources. The foremost desire of the Lord is to transform people through His Holy Spirit. —To prepare a spotless church. This Holy Spirit transformation is one of the vital qualifications for prophets – which differs from the prophetic which all believers in the Spirit of God are prophetic because the Spirit of prophecy is Christ. However, to edify and build up individuals in their faith journey comes from the prophets.

The Role of a prophet.

  1. Proclaiming God’s Word: Prophets are called to speak on behalf of God, delivering His messages to the people. They are commissioned to share God’s instructions, warnings, and promises. (Jeremiah 1:7-9; Ezekiel 2:7)
  2. Revealing God’s Will: Prophets help to reveal God’s plans and purposes, providing insight into His intentions for His people. They bring clarity and understanding about God’s desires and instructions. (Amos 3:7; 1 Corinthians 14:3)
  3. Exposing Sin and Calling for Repentance: Prophets often confront and expose sin, both at an individual and societal level gently but boldly. They call people to turn away from wickedness and return to a right relationship with God. (Isaiah 58:1; Jonah 3:4)
  4. Interceding and Praying: Prophets engage in intercession, standing in the gap and praying on behalf of the people. They seek God’s mercy, forgiveness, and intervention. (Jeremiah 7:16; Ezekiel 22:30)
  5. Edifying and Building up the Body of Christ: Prophets have a role in encouraging, strengthening, and equipping believers for their spiritual journey. They contribute to the growth and maturity of the Church. (Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 14:3-4)

I must mention that the specific assignment of a prophet may vary in different situations and contexts as guided by the Holy Spirit. The leading purpose of a prophet’s assignment is to bring glory to God, bring His people closer to Him, and align them with His purposes. —never asking for anything in return or boasting because God disciplines us harshly. Therefore when you see people day in and day out saying things to boost your egos, surface-level garbage “God said,” or “God told me to tell you,” jargon —God is not disciplining the devil’s kids, those who are not His. At the same time, the people the Father is trying to help and heal continue to suffer because they will not stop prophecy chasing to be edified through genuine Holy Spirit healing and obeying His instructions.

Notice that on prophetic pages and sites, such as those on social media, the true instructions from the prophets to edify the spirit and facilitate cleansing and transformation of God’s people are often overlooked. While information about future situations may receive hundreds, if not thousands, of acknowledgments, I want to tell you that the Lord’s return is imminent. When it happens, many will be caught off guard, resembling the unprepared virgins, because they were focused on the wrong things and had the wrong mindset.

Much love, and respect,
Sister Christine
