We all have chapters we wish we could rewrite, but if they were rewritten, the life lessons and the strength born from the pain, and or, our own sin would be lost. Our testimony is God-ordained.
Meanwhile, those very experiences and transformations shaped us into who we are today and equipped us to help others escape the same places — or better yet, reroute entirely to avoid those terrible paths. And this is where we must stand as the body of Christ: facing not only our own mistakes honorably but also how we handle the injustices perpetrated against us, the way the faithful before us did.
Joseph faced betrayal and injustice, yet he refused bitterness and allowed God to turn his suffering into salvation for an entire nation.
Paul faced the shame of his past — persecuting the very church he later died to protect — yet he didn’t hide from it. He used his testimony as proof of God’s transforming power.
As do I; it’s biblical and prophetic — the Holy Spirit’s power at work. For me, writing is a blessed gift sent by God. I often use it to write poetry through God’s voice, a form of Holy Spirit edification that the grifting showstoppers and stage dwellers could never touch. They try their very best to gain all eyes on themselves, using savage deception to make people believe they are “good,” flashing fancy photos of philanthropy paid for with the money they grifted and extorted from God’s people just to take those pictures.
It’s not the Lord.
Meanwhile, the true anointing doesn’t need a stage, a spotlight, or a performance. It flows from obedience, humility, and the Holy Spirit’s fire — not from the approval of crowds or the vanity of self‑promotion.
But in all of it, we are not without mistakes. It takes time to break old habits — whether in our character or in our lifestyle — because those patterns were all we knew for a long time. Many of us even used those same familiar avenues to share the gospel consistently, no matter where we went. And yes, sometimes it made us look like failures. But even those failures are not without lessons or consequences when the true anointing is from God.
Because when someone is not sent by God, you will notice it. They grift from God’s people, they deceive, they steal, and they continue doing evil in the name of God from high places for decades without correction — because God does not chastise those who are not His.
He chastises His own, the ones He loves, the ones He sends.
Scripture always confirms:
Hebrews 12:6 — “For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives.”
Proverbs 3:11–12 — “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline… for the Lord reproves him whom He loves.”
John 10:12–13 — The hired hand (the one not sent by God) cares nothing for the sheep.
Matthew 7:15 — “Beware of false prophets… inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”
Galatians 6:7 — “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked.”
That said, David faced the consequences of his mistakes and failures too, but instead of running, he repented deeply, rose again, and fulfilled his calling as a man after God’s own heart.
Their stories, like some of ours teach others that mistakes are not disqualifiers — they are turning our points. They are true Holy Spiritual altars where Adonai meets us, reshapes us, and sends us out with greater authority, compassion, and keen, unmistakable discernment.
Speaking personally, I’ve reached a place in life where I’ve learned to accept that regret is an emotion I do not carry.
True repentance breeds Holy Spirit transformation not, shame, and after being saved and forgiven by Jesus Christ, I honor Him by refusing to regret my own foolishness — but learning and growing from it, slowly but steadily, and it’s the same foolishness that drove me to cry out to Jesus on many occasions throughout my life. Those cries in truth and faith became my turning points.
I am grateful. Who can relate?
My mistakes became my molding. My failures became my testimony.
