In the Gospel of Matthew 10:16, Jesus declares that He is sending us out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, we must be as shrewd — discerningly wise in our judgment in Christ — as serpents, and as innocent as doves.
To be innocent as doves means to have a pure heart — to be harmless, not manipulative, condemning, wicked, or ungodly — but to be honest, forthright, and full of integrity.
It means to be Christlike.
It does not mean sinless; we all sin in the flesh, but we live repentantly. And because we live repentantly, we must speak the truth with that same discerning judgment through the Spirit of God when it comes to sin, deceivers, and wolves in sheep’s clothing.
It is no different than a demon‑filled person wearing an angel costume on Halloween — the outside looks harmless, but the inside is dark and dangerous. — looking for someone to devour.
Therefore, we must expose these evils.
I recently spoke on the passing of Clive Davis, who was a dark, deceiving, manipulative, money‑hungry mogul of the most despicable kind.
A pedophile hungry for their flesh.
A devil in disguise.
Therefore, he will not rest in peace, and I speak tactfully on this truth, as I have for the last decade. And while we are sanctified to expose darkness, we also share the love and gentle truth of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for the forgiveness of sins.
I encouraged people to reread John 3:16. Many share the Scripture, but do they truly understand the magnitude of what it means for all people?
Repentance is the key factor.
We must pray that souls — even the most vile — will be drawn to Christ. And we must share that Scripture in love, without screaming, without clenching our fists, but with conviction, while still declaring the truth that sin leads to eternal death, and unrepentant sin leads to hell.
Scripture confirms these facts.
Matthew 10:16 — “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Ephesians 5:11 — “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Galatians 6:1 — “If someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently…”
Romans 6:23 — “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
2 Timothy 4:3–4 — “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… and will turn their ears away from the truth.”
As I pray for all nations, I also pray for the United States of America. I pray for honorable leaders to be handpicked by God and placed in positions of authority — whether in the Church, in government, in our communities, and everywhere leadership is needed. Because the world is in desperate need of the remnant.
The poor and the overlooked — those who are rich in spirit and truth — are rising. They are the ones who walk wisely as serpents and innocently as doves, yet they are not pushovers. They carry discernment, purity, courage, and the fear of the Lord, and they will stand firm in these dark and deceptive days.
The set aside for the good of Christ and all people, near and far.
