Beloved community, we are in dire circumstances. Deception is at an all‑time high, and so many are in need of the loving mercy of God—His healing, salvation, hope, and strength through grace. And it all begins with repentance.
Let’s talk about it.
Repentance is a holy gift—an invitation from God to turn away from sin and be reconciled to the Father. This gift was made possible through the love and courage of Jesus Christ, who willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross for our sake. Through His crucifixion and resurrection, He opened the way for us to be forgiven, redeemed, and born again.
John 3:16 declares, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This verse reveals the depth of God’s love and the price He paid to save us.
Acts 3:19 further reminds us, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” Repentance is not condemnation—it is cleansing, renewal, and restoration.
Undoubtedly, repentance is the foundation of Christ’s teachings. Jesus said in Luke 13:3, “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Many view repentance negatively because they love their sin. And while some may say, “No one loves their sin,” we see the evidence everywhere—rebellion, idolatry, sexual immorality, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, murder, and countless other sins. Even the sins society calls “small”—pride, slander, envy, and lying—are destructive and common.
Our culture has become desensitized to sin and even conditioned to celebrate it, placing Jesus back on the cross through mockery and rebellion. We see this in families, communities, Hollywood, and among charlatan preachers who distort the gospel. Yet even so, we cannot stop proclaiming the truth. Repentance is essential for salvation and new birth, and Jesus Himself said it is the only way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven (John 3:3).
When we acknowledge our sins and confess them before God with sincerity of heart, we declare our need for a Savior. Jesus is full of mercy and forgiveness, but Scripture also teaches that wrath is stored up for those who refuse to believe or repent. Hell—Hades, Sheol—is spoken of repeatedly in Scripture. People choose hell by rejecting the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Many are deceived by religion and hold distorted views of Jesus, Heaven, and hell. But repentance clears the way for forgiveness, transformation, and spiritual rebirth. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Repentance is the turning of the heart—away from sin and toward God. It is the doorway to redemption, the beginning of relationship, and the place where the Holy Spirit begins His refining work. Through repentance, we move from slaves of darkness to sons and daughters of the Most High God.
Paul echoed this truth: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)
The gift of Holy Repentance is a beautiful opportunity to be restored to God and receive His mercy. It reminds us of the incredible grace given to all who believe. We are not saved by works—so no one can boast—but by Christ’s sacrifice, courage, and resurrection.
Please take this seriously. Yeshua is coming soon.
Blessings, much love and truth,
