Listen, I have something to say to whoever is struggling, whether in your faith, heart, mind, finances, weight, health, romance, or sin. Whatever it is, there is a way out and through it.
I know that many people use social media as an outlet. They watch from a distance, thinking that others have it all figured out or wondering how someone else can do so much while they can’t. This can lead to frustration and judgment towards those making necessary changes.
Speaking from experience on both sides of that coin, I am here to tell you with love and honesty that no one will do it for you. No one is coming to transform your life magically. You have to seek the One who heals and redeems, Jesus Christ. At the same time, stop listening to prosperity preachers and motivational speakers who only uplift you with words. The Holy Spirit can transform character, but achieving results in the natural world requires relentless work. We don’t get purified without living by the word. We don’t lose weight by sitting around and daydreaming about being healthy. We don’t become knowledgeable without studying. We don’t serve others by watching and becoming jealous of those actively serving.
The only way to become who you are destined to be in Christ is by seeking Him with all your heart, humbling yourself, and doing the work.
It is okay to take your time, but start and don’t broadcast your every move. Build in secret until it’s done. It’s OK to share, but don’t overshare details. —Let people wonder, and when you doubt that you can do it, remember that even an ant, which is one hundred times smaller than a human, can build a castle underground through hard work and dedication.
So can you!
Proverbs 24:27 states: “Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that, build your house.”
God Bless you!
Much love,
Sister Christine.
