Past the pain comes reward through faith in Jesus Christ

Dry Bones

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, `Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! The Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. —Ezekiel 37

While faith in Jesus Christ is the foundational cornerstone of Christianity, too often, religion takes center stage in the lives of God’s people. Often people fail to remember that it is only by the grace of God that anyone can be saved.

For those without faith in Jesus Christ, there is still hope. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:4-5 that “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” This passage highlights that even when our bones are dead and our hearts are without the Holy Spirit, God can still bring us to life and save us.

For this reason, many are the afflictions of the unbeliever living in doubt and Spiritual drought; they stay dead in the body and are burdened with pain and sickness because theirs is a mental struggle to believe.

Yet don’t be alarmed because
Just as in the days of Ezekial, the hand of the LORD is upon many today; as we see the valleys, including our cities and streets, homes and families full of dry bones and brittle to the touch, God is using unusual people. Sinners were redeemed not for their glory but to magnify God.

Servants who didn’t choose the task but were chosen for an assignment. Jesus Christ is a covering that casts out all fear so that instead of relying on religion, God’s creation can be made to know the God who lives in them. The LORD will breathe into the dead in Spirit so that they, too, may have life and life eternally.

Consequently, we know that only Jesus can change, save, heal, and redeem, so while we share an unfiltered gospel in love and truth, God’s anointing achieves everything. Jesus is the hope, power, and inspiration. The blessing is God; the oil is the Lord’s. Jesus gives rise to new life and empowers dead bones to breathe again.

This means that the coming of Christ is imminent and closer than before; the Bible says that no one knows the hour or time, so there are no reasons to argue over topics having no definitive answer, but instead, sharing the fresh air in Christ, only the Holy Spirit reinflates.

I chose this image to reflect the pain of those waiting for a new life in the dry valleys. Hence, I question: who and what are you placing your efforts into believing? Does the Bible say to market a brand and build Kingdoms or fill the arms of Christ with His people?

Where in scripture are we commanded to make it our mission to gain new followers and write books that glorify prosperity and not the gospel and repentance? Please show the church the scriptures that say we are to make guest appearances and require payment to preach.

My favorite is the organization titling themselves the prophetic elder’s Council. Folks, run for your lives, repent, and turn away from these things. Should we be acting like the world or crying out the name of Jesus Warning the world the hour is coming to a close?

Or should we throw away the gospel truth and believe in lesser things? Beloved, all these worldly things are like ditches with no bottom. They lead us away from a pure relationship with our Savior. Trenches so deep in the valleys that souls are dying in sin without their knowledge. Instead, they trust the world and medicate, their lives deteriorating before their eyes.

Today I prophesy to the lost, lonely, broken, unloved, and afraid, to the addicted, afflicted, divided, demented, and deceived. I prophesy to the old and to the young, to the rich and poor, and to the entire creation of God, dry bones come alive, come alive, in Jesus’ name.

May the LORD breathe into you new life and peace, the healing and deliverance that only comes from Jesus Christ.

Jesus is Lord and King.

Blessings,
Sister Christine
