Past the pain comes reward through faith in Jesus Christ

The Idolatry Of Politics

We live in a nation with a significant divide due to a polluted faith, a compromised church, and a corrupt and oppressive political system. It has been this way for a long time.

Having said that, as Christians, are we supposed to fight for the rights of God and the freedom of men? Yes, we are, but we must do so with righteous and godly behavior that brings about a pure change in nations. However, the idolatry of politics and religion is as sinful as the wickedness causing the divide in high places. We cannot consider ourselves good by attempting to take down the people who are no good with ungodly behavior that is equally not good—both are considered evil in the eyes of God.

Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God: “Do not be deceived: neithernicators, nor idolaters nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with humanity, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Also, in the letter to the Ephesians 5:11-12, it is taught: “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.”

So when a person chooses to side with man’s sin to promote their political side and agenda instead of obeying God, it becomes an idol. Please, take a look at the truth.

Exodus 20:3-6 states, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Colossians3:5 advises, “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”

John 5:21 says, “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”

It is with sound counsel that the body of the church grows and expands in righteousness and humility, and when professing Christians attack this instruction, it brings the judgment of God to their door.

“The Lord has a solid plan to bring about substantial change in Washington DC and nationally, but not before disaster arrives. Therefore, it is important to approach this with a pure heart and clean hands, as God will heal pieces of the pieces of the puzzle.

—It is crucial to remember that the Bible states that the Lord did not come to bring peace but division, and we are currently at a point of separation. God is revealing things in order to build, but this does not mean we will return to the way things were. There will be wars and rumors of wars, and it is for us to fervently pursue Christ, stay in prayer, forgive, and honor God.

—The most important thing is repentance, and turning back to the Father through the Son, because Jesus will not return to worldly politics but gather the hearts of His people.

—Riches and wealth will die like the body will die, and the spirit will live on. Who will you follow?

As Christians, we have a duty to oversee the earth that the Lord has entrusted to us, including every area, including the political realm. However, we should not idolize it. Unfortunately, things have become twisted, with evil and religious people occupying the highest positions and spreading their corruption among the people. Whether we are on the left or right, idol politics and hating one another because of political choices is not aligned with God’s ways or the calling of any Christian.

It’s not over until it’s over!
