The message is simple today: many people out there desire to have a hunger for the word of God and His righteousness.
As Matthew 5:6 states, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”
Despite the Lord Jesus Christ answering many of your prayers and giving you that driving feeling to pick up the word and read it, you often become sidetracked with something else.
Every day it’s on your list of things to do, but you don’t do it. —Here’s the key component to that: in order to receive righteousness, you have to receive what the Lord is feeding you.
Think of it this way:
It’s similar to being starving and looking forward to eating lunch. —At noon, if you become so busy at work that you decide to work through lunch and don’t eat, by two or three o’clock you’ll feel sick, irritable, lethargic, and even angry, snapping at one another.
Take a look at scripture:
As Job 23:12 reminds us, “I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”
Now imagine if you didn’t eat lunch for two days, four days, fourteen days, a month, six months, a year, or two years. —Imagine the person you have become.
Who are you?
Beloved, we all struggle, even those of us whose job it is to study this Word 24/7 and pour out what is good and nourishing over the people.
However, the enemy of our soul and his demonic workers surround us at any given moment with witchcraft againstthe church, especially against the leaders in the church.
It can be a difficult struggle. Pray for us.
Nonetheless, I am not here to chastise you, but to encourage you and to relate to you, letting you know that we are all created the same in our flesh.
Romans 7:18 reminds us, “For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh.”
It doesn’t mean that we all liars and thieves, nor does it mean we do the same things or think the same way, but essentially, in the body, the ways of the flesh are carnal, and in that manner, we are alike.
Therefore, in order to obtain Christ’s righteousness and virtue, and the wisdom and healthy spiritual fruit that the Lord seeks for you, so that you do not become, or stay deceived in the days ahead or now, you have to eat—especially when you’re starving for the Word of the Lord.
As Matthew 4:4 reminds us, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Brethren, with that unction in your spirit, Jesus is answering your prayers and giving you what you are desiring, therefore it is essential to engage actively with His Word and allow it to nourish your soul.
You have to eat, and you have to do the work.
Example:
You’re not going to go to Chick-fil-A, order a meal, and sit down with it while someone comes over and shoves it down your throat. No, that isn’t how it works. You have to eat. You have to study, fast, pray, and put it all together.
The fact of the matter is that many in the world today are either physically healthy and mentally unhealthy, spiritually on the fence, or you can twist that any way according to your story.
However, it’s very rare to find someone who is mentally, morally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically in good health.
It’s not about perfection but progression.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 encourages us, “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
So, we have to take care of every one of those areas.
Are you eating breakfast, eating lunch, eating healthily, or exercising? Are you spiritually eating your lunch and exercising those things by living out God’s word.
If you desire to make an open declaration in the comments, please do so. I’ll swing by to read them. Placing something in writing is the first step toward expressing your commitments.
Remember, as Romans 10:10 states, “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
Your open declaration can be a powerful testament to your faith and journey. The comments is a good place to begin testifying. To stay accountable.
Lets pray together:
With love, in the name of Jesus, I ask You, Father, to pour Your peace, mercy, and understanding into us, in Jesus’ name, to open our eyes, our hearts, and our ears to hear, see, and receive You in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask for Your peace and Your protection, and to surround each one of us with Your angelic hosts to keep us from being sidetracked.
In Jesus’ name, Father, as a church body, we come together in prayer and ask You to soften all of our hearts toward one another, to gently correct when needed, and to stand for the truth of Jesus Christ at all costs, without fear. We ask You for the healing of our families, our friends, and our foes.
In Jesus’ name, we ask for Your supernatural, Holy Spirit sustenance , full of divine mercy and without corruption, to awaken the body of Christ and give each one of us the desire for Your Word, to live it, and to eat of the living bread.
In Jesus’ name, we give You all glory, thanks, and praise.
We exalt Your name, Jesus, above all names. We stand for the truth in honor and loyalty to You, Jesus Christ, and we live, love, and move forward in faith at all costs, regardless of the pain and suffering it may cause. In Jesus’ name, our joys are in You.
Beloved, share this love of Jesus with someone else.
Remember, good deeds are as good as dirty rags, as stated in Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.”
However, faith without works is dead.
Though, you must understand that it is much deeper than that. Always pay it forward and help someone. Don’t just take pictures of everything you’re doing, but with genuine love in your heart, help people.
Make sure to help yourself first.
It’s similar to being in an airplane; that’s in trouble, they tell you to put your mask on first because if you die while trying to put the mask on someone else, what good is that?
You have to have oxygen to live and be healthy and strong so that you can go help other people. The Holy Spirit is speaking; I hope you’re listening.
Much love and truth,
Sister Christine ❤️🇺🇸
