Today, I cannot remain silent. Like you, I am personally experiencing the rough winds and rugged waves of the current storms.

However, I find comfort in knowing that Jesus is with us in the boat. —Regardless of what may come our way, as a body of believers we “I” are determined to endure and maintain our faith.

A friendly reminder is found in Mark 4:35-41:

“On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, ‘Let us go across to the other side.’ And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat so that the boat was already filling. But he “Jesus” was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him,

‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’ And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

He said to them, ‘Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?’ And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, ‘Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?’”

This verse demonstrates how Jesus, even in the midst of our storms, remained calm and still has the power to bring peace and calm to our rough situations. Jesus reminds us that when we face challenges and difficulties in everyday life, we can trust in Him when no one else steps up to help us.

Having said that, many of you, myself, and my husband too are good, upstanding hard-working people. We all keep to ourselves, love our families and communities, and only speak up assertively when the disingenuous poke our hive with a stick. —That’s when the stick handlers go all out, to cause trouble driven by the sting to their egos when we stand up for what is right shining light on their own backhanded behavior.

Although we’re not perfect and none of us are flawless, except for Jesus who is without defects, we have good intentions and work hard, striving to do our best to stand up for what is good and holy—or at the very least, what is ethically right. I remind myself incessantly of 1 Peter 2:21-23:

“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.”

Now, I want to clarify that today my topic is “the underdogs” in this nation and globally. —These are the people who are often overlooked and face adversity in life without anyone standing up for them. —

I can personally relate to the struggle of being an underdog and an overachiever, overcoming generational misfortune and the burdens passed down from our ancestors through Jesus Christ. However, in this discussion, we are focusing on those of you “us” who are often seen as the weaker ones.

Like many of you, I have faced challenges and had no one stand up for me when the enemy tried to destroy me from birth, yet that is not the main focus here. Because my own experiences have driven me that much further to seek justice throughout my life.

Personally, if family life early on had been different, I would have pursued a career in the military, attended law school, and served my country. —However, due to my childhood and having to take care of myself and my brother since as a teen, that path didn’t seem possible no matter how hard I tried, and I tried. Nevertheless, God has taken care of us, all of us when no one else did. We mustn’t dwell on my past; instead, we must wholeheartedly seek Jesus and accomplish amazing things, today which is often for the benefit of others.

What is it that fuels you, the fire of Christ placed inside of you? As a body of believers, as a family in Christ, we would like to know and for you to realize that your dreams are not dead. It’s a process of awakening and hard work, enduring the highs and lows, and facing the many challenges that ultimately build our characters and prepare us to handle the workload ahead.

Here is a reminder that it’s possible with faith, check out what Paul says in Philippians 4:13:

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” please don’t forget it.

Now, for me, I possess a strong sense of justice, which stems from the anointing of Jesus Christ. While I just want to love people and see them well there is a strong presence of order and justice. —This is why I stand up for what is right when others lack the courage to do so.

That said. I will never stop in my pursuit of service in this area because I believe what’s right is right, and what’s wrong wrong and I will not lay down and be rolled over upon.

Many of us, you and me included are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters. We come from different backgrounds, beliefs, and nations, all working towards redemption in Christ, and leading others by our example.

Some of us were born for a time such as this. And some of you may say that I have shared a lot of testimony in recent weeks, but those are just fragments of a much longer life story.

Similar to some of you the past eight to fifteen years, we have served and endured unspoken struggles that are difficult to put into words but were necessary.

—However, in that, I want to emphasize the importance of not prioritizing others to the point of losing oneself.

Remember, you matter!!

We matter too!

And when no one else stands up for you or when the enemy and his workers wrongfully attempt to destroy your and mine name for doing God’s will and being a voice for the voiceless, stepping up to spiritual thugs, and their workers and human vessels on earth always remember that God is with you. He is in our boat.—Trust in Him.

Trust Him with all your hearts

Also, never forget that when you make a mistake, repent and seek forgiveness.—We all make mistakes and sin occasionally, but as followers of Christ, we strive not to live in sin.

Instead, we do our best to build disciples, help the sick, feed the poor, and visit those in prison. And for those called to be a voice, we seek justice on behalf of the underdogs.

Personally, I am fed up with the wicked bullying and causing harm to God’s people. I make no apologies for speaking out.

As a prophetic voice, I have struggled with controlling my mouth throughout my life. And If people attempt to attack me by shaming me for it, let us remember the words of Isaiah 1:17:

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”

Therefore may we continue to seek justice and be a voice for those in need. A voice for the voiceless and those afraid to speak. Please, learn to know who you are, in Christ, and as an underdog know if God is for us, who can be against us?
