Today’s Christianity has become somewhat of a celebration of sight and sounds, a mellifluous interpretation of scripture that leads God’s people farther away from Christ, and with the sweet sounds of prosperity the falling away from the faith continues.
At the same time, the lavish tailspin away from modesty and righteousness, simplicity and holiness furthers the descent into idolatry and the pitfalls of grandeur. Today’s ministries are more about the glamour of fashion and the money-making mogul whose sermons are a charismatic cocktail of breakthroughs covered in the promises of prosperity oil. The church’s leaders have no accountability and are filled with popularity and apostasy.
Apostle Paul sounded the alarm in Ephesians 6:10: Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. 11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
The devil’s schemes are a projected course of action that plots to deceive, and the deception comes with significant trickery. Satan is out to pull the wool over the eyes of God’s people so that the truth is far from sight and the fleshes desire is all they see.
Recall, Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11: “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant. You know that when you were unbelievers, you were enticed and led astray to worship idols that couldn’t even speak; this pertains to religious establishments placing manufactured structures and ideologies before God’s word and Christ, leading to a different kind of idol worship.
There is plenty of deception currently in churches, and more than less of today’s preachers are charismatic and, indeed, smooth in speech.
A good portion is wealthy on the dime, and the sowing of seeds gains affluence. At the same time, the prophets are supposedly accurate in their foretelling of the days to come.
Yet, if the congregation cannot see that their teachers are corrupt, they certainly can’t see their double-dealing hearts are placing their faith in profits and not prophets.
Recall Peter’s warning in 2 Peter 2:1-4
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
This foretelling is precisely the current state of the churches, good is called evil, and evil celebrated. Just as God casts down Lucifer and the angels, He will turn away from the double-minded who insist on doing evil under the guise of holiness.
A Christian in the Spirit of God does without the things that bring temporary gratification and cause the flesh pleasure, but instead chooses righteousness to satisfy God, not out to please people, but equipped to save souls.
As a result, the tyrants are out to silence God’s prophets and mute Yahweh’s servants, the men, and women who teach about Christ’s righteousness, repentance, and holiness, building the body of Christ’s spiritual house, leading to Spiritual maturity and self-control.
The preachers of apostasy know that if we get past the demonic trip wires set to cause us to fall, they will plunge into obscurity. God’s power will convict the church of their sin and idolatry, and the slaves will be free to see the wolves for who they are.
Thus the beginning of a new walk with Christ and the blessings that many have paid to receive and received, none and will begin to reap the benefits of the true faith in Jesus Christ.
It takes years to be changed entirely but don’t be alarmed because we are forever evolving in faith through the Holy Spirit of God, and aren’t you ready to seek the truth, to replace the lies?
A genuine born-again believer will eventually become Christ-like, and if we strive for godliness with a refined heart that only comes from God, instead of worldly pleasure-seeking, we begin to share in pure Grace.
Still, for the lifelong Christian in-name-only refusing to turn from the devils’ ways, the issue of hell is real. It’s time to question yourself, “Am I saved, or have I backslidden so severely I can’t see the truth?”
Please, I say this while my heart is crying out, repent and seek the Kingdom of God with all your heart, and the promise of God is all things will be added.
Remember, the truth and degree of goodness are not found in church attendance, tithing, traditions, seed sowing, or any worldly thing. To believe this confirms that the heart is wickedly deceitful; who should put up with it?
The answer is none; it leads to devastation, for when temptation is fully recognized, it breeds sin and sin destruction.
There are ten laws by which we give account to God—The ten Commandments, and the Holy Spirit weighs goodness according to the presence of God in the born-again; therefore, it’s time to be baptized into the Holy Spirit, and like John, the Baptizer said, in
Matthew 3:11
“I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
He was speaking of Jesus Christ, who was and is and still to come yet wholly functioning on the earth through the Holy Spirit presently.
John 14:15-17: If you love me, keep my commandments. I will ask the Father to give you another Helper, to be with you always. He is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor recognizes him. But you recognize him, because he lives with you and will be in you.
It isn’t intelligent to judge our goodness as the way; it’s carnal and without the Holy Spirit we have none. Yes, we may be kind at times, and even people who are not born-again Christians do many wonderful deeds, but again; the Bible says no one is good without Christ, and the world’s perception of what is right and wrong is wickedly deceitful; if Jesus says He is the only way, He is the only way.
Only Jesus is righteous, and when we become born-again in truth, do not forget that we are vessels, and in Christ, He fills the container with HIS righteousness.
The prophet Isaiah said, Isaiah 11:2: “And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.”
These Spiritual gifts are evident in a person endowed by God, we needn’t try to make them noticed they are confirmed in God’s timing.
Recall, in Luke 18:19, when talking about our goodness, what did Jesus say?
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.
Similarly, the Bible says that good deeds are as good as filthy rags, they are a large part of the Christian walk, but salvation is not considered according to anything we do; it’s all about Jesus Christ and possible because of the bloodshed on the cross.
Isaiah 64:5-7: “You’re welcome those who gladly do right, who remember Your ways. Indeed You were angry, for we sinned. How can we be saved if we remain in our sins? 6Each of us has become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind. 7No one calls on Your name or strives to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us and delivered us into the hand of our iniquity.
The Spiritual power of the word brings clarity, and healing and salvation are found only through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit’s strength is enough; so that when we are weak, He makes us strong.
Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.”
Romans 12:2, we are taught, “do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Without the Holy Spirit and His divine light and counsel, we are empty vessels in the dark void of Spiritual incite, incapable of understanding God’s voice or the presence of truth, confused, and deceived by diviners.
It’s true; whenever the heart deceives itself, desiring wealth and power and agreeing with the enemy, the god of lustful pride—contempt is born for God’s people. Satan’s power is at work to discredit the saints, it’s not God or from God, and sadly it takes years for some to become aware that the enemy is sitting right next to you—the accuser of the faithful brethren.
At the same time, do not be fooled; the enemy masquerades as light and will bless his own handsomely, so, in conclusion, do not let worldly success fool you, and wake up to the Holy Spirit’s warning through the prophet’s. The Lord’s teachers, including the Pastors and Evangelists not taught by men but equipped by God.
Money and Spirit have nothing to do with each other, “the Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. Recall Christ’s words, “The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.”
Can you see?
