Deuteronomy 6:6-7
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
- SET A GREAT EXAMPLE
It’s pretty simple. If you desire your kids to love the Bible, you should love the Bible. - DAILY ROUTINE WITH YOUR FAMILY.
If you want your children to read the daily Bread, then you should read the daily Bread.
“Give us this day our daily Bread.”
Bible habits start when they are children. So when they become adults they are full of the light of life. Just as with anything of value, we teach them young.
Example:
Just like dental hygiene. To have healthy teeth as an adult, regular brushing and flossing is necessary, “spiritual hygiene” is no different. It requires regular Bible study and prayer.
- ROOT DISCIPLINE IN SCRIPTURE
We as parents, work hard to rear our children in the way to go. We fight tooth and nail to teach them to behave. When the greatest teacher of all time is Jesus Christ.
Who better to mirror than Jesus Christ.
In all ways he is moral and virtuous. So isn’t it logical to introduce them to the teachings of Jesus Christ? While their perception of good and evil has yet to be formed?
Here are a few examples:
Why should kids obey?
Ephesians 6:1.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Why should kids have a good attitude about chores?
Colossians 3:20
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
Keep it simple!
Adults don’t like complicated and confusing and neither do kids.
I find that doing lessons on the fly can be very effective. Let your kids help and write in their Bible, make it fun and interactive. My Ava loves to do what she sees me doing. This photo is one of my favorites.
She is so focused on highlighting scripture, and guess what? She is doing what she sees me doing.
This is how I learn and this is how my children learn. Children are no different at home then in school. So now that school is at home there is no excuse. We must add a Biblical lesson plan each day.
Keep it short and sweet, but consistent and routine.
When parents say I don’t have time to teach scripture. You say I don’t think God’s word is important. You can say a lot with your mouth. But actions and the heart often speak something different, and Jesus reads the heart.
Mark 2:8
Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, *said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?
Parents, today is the day to stop allowing YouTube to rear your children.
It’s polluting their minds and filling them with depression and perversion, and all things mindless and unethical. If you say different, you’re lying.
Believe me, growing up rooted in the word of GOD will drive out the demons that lead our children to sin. To try drugs and alcohol.
The chance of them becoming sexually immoral will be significantly lower than a child who was never taught the word of God.
Parents, please, teach your kids to know Jesus, not only to know His the Name. Introduce your little ones to Jesus.
Relationship not religion!
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word is Jesus Christ.
Listen, in the world we live in, Jesus is their only hope for eternal survival. Children are faced with an exsistsence that is void of the luxuries we had as children.
The demonic strongholds are growing, and families have depart from the God of all creation.
However, for the families that do share in the daily Bread of life. There will be health, wealth, and a securing of their souls.
Because on the last day, when Jesus comes down to take His church away. We want to see you and your families in Heaven.
God wants, you, to teach your children to love themselves, just as Jesus loves them. And how can that happen if you or them, don’t know Jesus.
They need to wear their miniature Armor of God. Just as you need to wear yours. To grow in faith, fortitude, patience, and percerverence in this often times, dreadful world. We all need, JESUS!
Remember, our children are a reflection of who we are. They often become what they see, hear, and learn from their parents. And it is not the job of any school or church to teach your children about God.
It is yours!
Glory to God. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit Most High.
Remember, the devil is out for your children, DO NOT, let him have them because you ignored the instruction of Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
