Past the pain comes reward through faith in Jesus Christ

Do Not Judge Your Brother “Love Him”

Beloved, accept those whose faith is weak. Do not judge them where you have differences of opinion, but love and show patience.

Romans 14:, “The faith of some people allows them to eat anything. But others eat only vegetables because their faith is weak. People who eat everything must not look down on those who do not. And people who don’t eat everything must not judge those who do. God has accepted them.

Who are you to judge someone else’s servants? Whether they are faithful or not is their own master’s concern. They will be faithful because the Lord has the power to make them faithful. Some people consider one day to be more holy than another. Others think all days are the same. Each person should be absolutely sure in his own mind. Those who think one day is special do it to honor the Lord. Those who eat meat do it to honor the Lord. They give thanks to God. Those who don’t eat meat do it to honor the Lord. They also give thanks to God.

We do not live for ourselves alone, and we do not die by ourselves. If we live, we live to honor the Lord. If we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Christ died and came back to life. He did this to become the Lord of both the dead and the living. Now then, who are you to judge your brother or sister? Why do you look down on them? We will all stand in God’s courtroom to be judged. It is written,

Isaiah 45:23: “You can be sure that I live,’ says the Lord. ‘And you can be just as sure that every knee will bow down in front of me. Every tongue will tell the truth to God.’ “

So, we will all have to explain to God the things we have done. Let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put anything in your brother’s way that would make him trip and fall. As I am absolutely sure that no food is “unclean” in itself. I say this as one who belongs to the Lord Jesus.

But some people may consider a thing to be “unclean.” If they do, it is “unclean” for them. Your brothers and sisters may be upset by what you eat. If they are, you are no longer acting as though you love them. So don’t destroy them by what you eat.

“Christ died for them too, you know!”

Beloved, family in Christ, do not let something you consider good to be spoken of as if it were evil. God’s kingdom has nothing to do with eating or drinking. It is a matter of being right with God. It brings the peace and joy that the Holy Spirit gives. Those who serve Christ in this way are pleasing to God. They are pleasing to people too. So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build each other up.

Do not destroy the work of God because of food. All food is “clean.” But it is wrong for you to eat anything that causes someone else to trip and fall. Don’t eat meat if it will cause your brothers and sisters to fall. Don’t drink wine or do anything else that will make them fall. No matter what you think about those things, keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not have to feel guilty for what they allow. But those who have doubts are guilty if they eat. Their eating is not based on faith. Everything that is not based on faith is sin.

That said, we must adhere to the Lord’s declaration and begin walking in it, lest we trip and fall into the pit from our hateful hearts. Because the truth is, this nation has a lot of talkers of love and not enough walkers of love. Father desires us to stop treating others with contempt because of the color of our skin because they voted differently, (honestly, it is none of our business), this goes for religious bias too. Yes, we share the Gospel, and the only way to the Father through Jesus Christ. But it’s not an excuse to hate everyone who doesn’t believe, even when they hate us for believing. Please, stop judging, wrongly but responsibly, and finally, this is a big one, stop treating people who are homosexual like they are less human than you. Because it is not true, and they are people too. Yes, they are dead in their sin, but that is all the more reason to show love through the Gospel to attract their hearts to the truth. —We do not going to effectively teach the truth of Jesus Christ and the laws against such things by treating people poorly. Because sin is sin no matter how you slice it, and we live in a land of cherry-pickers. A kitchen full of kettles calling the other black.

Now, before the Christian community goes all bonkers on me, let me explain a few things. Sadly, many who claim “love” wouldn’t know it if it bit them on the backside, and the true love of Christ does not condemn, so why do many do it? The Bible teaches the truth and instructs with love therefore we are to function the same. Lastly, self-control, compassion, kindness, and understanding are the fruits of the Holy Spirit of God. So one might ask themselves, “am I really walking in the Spirit?” Because if so, there would be a greater show of self-control from those considering themselves Christian.

Here is a question to ask yourself, as the answer may surprise you. Listen closely to the things that are a sin in the eyes of God, such as lying, stealing, fornicating, homosexuality, adultery, worshiping false gods, idolatry, and so on, are not to be condoned but to be handled with care.

We must treat all people as we desire to be treated with love and understanding, have mercy when witnessing where they are, as we pour out the truth in love. Because maybe, just maybe, Jesus might know what He is talking about when He tells us, LOVE heals all things. Biblical instruction should come from a pure heart, one that cares for the heart of another. This is the only thing that will reach the lost. What is needed to set another soul free from torment and sin. Maybe even lead a transgender person to put down the opposite sex clothing. Why?

To love themselves from within.

Scripture:

John 4:16
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

Ephesians 4:2
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”

1 Peter 4:8
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

There you have it. We are not to call evil good or good evil. But we must love and NOT hate. I pray that your heart is open to hear what the Lord is saying. None of us enjoy the bullhorn method for the “hard-of-hearing.” We want to serve joyfully, patiently, but straightforwardly, boldly..

Please, “Do Not Judge Your Brother. Love Him.”

Jesus died for us, even while we were sinners, and as we all know, none of us deserved it. This nation and all of the human race, one race under God, needs to make a habit out of love, kindness, forgiveness, and self-control. We must be obedient to God’s laws and principles, and not our own feelings. Because the key to successful kindness is to “practice” what you preach.

Much love and respect,

Sister Christine
