Can You Smell Evil

Yes, as someone who does, my husband does too. We understand that the Bible talks about smells that come from what is unclean and aromas from what is clean.

For example:

2 Corinthians 2:15-16
“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one, we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life.

And as Jesus is spirit (unseen) His presence can be detected in the Spirit as an aroma, some of God’s people can also smell what is unclean, ‘evil’.

Now, if you do not experience it, do not be alarmed. Perhaps you are not meant to, nor should you claim these spiritual facts as foolish to discount those who do not understand.

Scripture states in 1 Corinthians 2:14 that “the natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”

Simultaneously, those who speak the truth are often invalidated by people who envy their gifts or insights, or do not accept them as if we are attempting to place ourselves in a hierarchy above others, which is not true.

This attitude stems from the same anti-Christ spirit present or immature believer. The lukewarm in those who claim to know God yet discount others’ spiritual gifts and fruit.

When contradictions arise seek the scripture.

As it is written in James 1:22 (NIV), “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

While many are pointing fingers at me for this gentle rebuke, the Father rebukes those He loves, and it is merely the truth of the Word that so many adamantly claim to know because they only read it.

Puffed up in themselves.

That said, the presence of the Lord makes these spiritual truths and senses possible, and they are not something to brag about or discuss lightly.

Take a look: or do you choose not to believe it?

Ephesians 6:12 (NIV):
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

These are the causes of callousness and the hidden issues that exist within the spiritual realm of the body of Christ—the ecclesia—which is not a mere building.

Saying things like, ‘I’ don’t believe. There lies the problem. A lack of faith.

However, we all must repent and seek Christ because we all matter to Him.

1 Corinthians 12:27

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

Part of a spiritual body.

However, the church has become so worldly and superficial that many are unaware of the underlying reasons for the hatred, jealousy, destruction, disbelief, heresy, backbiting, hatred and derision among each other, and firty thousand denominations of so-called christianity.

Meanwhile, those who are genuinely submitted to the Lord, repentant, and in the secret place with Him do not harbor envy or hatred, but spirtual clarity, nor do they desire what others have.

The heart was made pure therewith the Holy Spirit and so He functions purely.

As 1 Peter 2:1 (NIV) reminds us, “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.”

But instead, people turn from God in the name of their pastors.

To hear themselves.

The proof lies in their lives, their words, their rebellion and self rightousness, not merely in their words, echoing Matthew 7:16 (NIV), “By their fruit you will recognize them.”

Meanwhile, the obedient (not perfect) are heightened spiritually through the sanctification process and wilderness refinement.

And the spiritual senses are at an all-time high and should be appreciated, as it is Christ and His anointing that protect not only ourselves but also warn others of the deception that may be present in a place.

Meanwhile, as Ephesians 5:2 declares…

The word speaks of Jesus as an aromatic pleasure to God. His scent is detected in the Spiritual realm.

This is the very reason why those of us who are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, chosen for a purpose, and depending on the level of the spiritual assignment the preparation and equipping is brutal because of the Holy Spirit, in us, the heightened levels of discernment accirdibg to that purpose destined by God.

People often meet us with dislike and even hate the moment they are in our presence.

There will be no rhyme or reason for their disdain, and no matter how kind we are to them, how many times we forgive them (Matthew 18:21-22), how we speak the truth (Ephesians 4:15), or how we try to help or turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39), those who are of an unclean spirit—and sadly, many of them are in the church—often attack negatively.

Brutally. Unfairly.

Do you know that the secular world is kinder because they are not at war within the church, as some of them do not even believe?

It is those within the church who are at war with God (James 4:4).”

It’s spiritual, and their own self-righteousness masked as godliness.

And when we walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

They hate Him, in us.

His fragrant offering (His blood) is something pleasing to God, contrasting with the rebellious who say otherwise.

The word talks about the unclean stench.

Isaiah 3:24
“Instead of fragrance, there will be a stench; instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-set hair,
baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, branding.”

The stench of the cause of sin.

Therefore, don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions and discount the senses of the Lord, including the prophetic, who is the Lord, because of all the goons that have emerged in the charismatic movement—those whom the public has raised up and given complete control over the things of this earth, claiming that they are the gatekeepers of God’s church.

Then you have censationsists destroying the works of the Lord, in their own disbelief and everything is so divided. The church better start looking inward, one by one, at yourselves.

Repent and seek the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not ignore the truth any longer longer.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV):

“If My people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Much love and truth,
Sister Christine
