For those who have lost an animal, their closest companion, friend, and mate, our Father sees your suffering and the pain in your heart. Our God understands that sometimes an animal becomes your closest friend because there seems to be no one else who understands you like your pet. Unbeknownst to you, the Father grieves when you grieve.
He understands that for many of you, your animals have been the way you give and receive love, especially for those of you whose companions have stood by you through thick and thin, in sickness and good health. That said, I firmly believe this message is for someone specific, and I am sharing it.
Please know that the Father sees the trials in your life, the misperceptions you have of yourself and others, and the distrust you have got humans because of a tattered history but your pet has loved you unconditionally, and your heart is filled with grief.
Psalm 34:18 (NIV) says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
The Father wants you to know that you are loved and that He is by your side, comforting you. Although you may feel alone, the Father has more in store for you. The Lord does not desire for you to be alone or isolated from your brothers and sisters in Christ. Instead, He encourages you to venture out and fellowship with other believers.
The Father wants you to open your heart and give people a chance. While you grieve the loss of your companion, God’s love will mend your heart and spirit and bring new relationships when you are ready. Father understands how much you loved that pet, and in His arms you will find healing.
Scripture:
1 Peter 2:24 – He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
Let’s Pray:
Father, I humbly ask for your guidance in keeping my focus on You amidst the weight of losing my best friend. Please alleviate the overwhelming pain and hurt that I feel. Grant me the strength to remain faithful and to recognize the good and hidden blessings that you have prepared for me. Restore my heart, mind, and emotions, allowing me to live joyfully and experience healing today. May the Holy Spirit lead me in peace and comfort. Amen.
Beloved, losing a pet is sometimes underestimated by having never felt this weight. Therefore receive this Healing which is found in the heart of Christ. The Bible tells us that those who seek Him shall see Him, and those who see Him will be healed. We can quickly obtain another animal, but remember that human interactions, regardless of family cannot be replaced. this word means something to someone. I pray it touches your heart and draws you nearer to the God who loves you so much. Give your burdens to Him, and He will restore you.
Deuteronomy 30:3 (MSG)
God, your God, will restore everything you lost; He’ll have compassion on you; He’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.
