Past the pain comes reward through faith in Jesus Christ

Are You Spiritually Awake?

Today’s Christianity has become somewhat of a celebration of sight and sounds, a mellifluous interpretation of scripture that leads God’s people farther away from Christ, and with the sweet sounds of prosperity the falling away from the faith continues.

At the same time, the lavish tailspin from modesty and righteousness, simplicity and holiness furthers the descent into idolatry and the pitfalls of grandeur. Today’s ministries are more about the glamour of fashion and the money-making mogul whose sermons are a charismatic cocktail of breakthroughs covered in the promises of prosperity oil. The church’s leaders have no accountability and are filled with popularity and apostasy.

Apostle Paul sounded the alarm in Ephesians 6:10: Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. 11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

The devil’s schemes are a projected course of action that plots to deceive, and the deception comes with significant trickery. Satan is out to pull the wool over the eyes of God’s people so that the truth is far from sight and the fleshes desire is all they see.

Plenty of today’s preachers are charismatic and, indeed, smooth in speech. They are wealthy on the dime, and the sowing of seeds gains affluence. At the same time, the prophets are supposedly accurate in their foretelling of the days to come. Yet, if the congregation cannot see that their teachers are corrupt, they certainly can’t see their double-dealing hearts are placing their faith in profits and not prophets.

Recall Peter’s warning in 2 Peter 2:1-4

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with theirunlawful deeds.

This foretelling is precisely the current state of the churches, good is called evil, and evil celebrated. Just as God casts down Lucifer and the angels, He will turn away from the double-minded who insist on doing evil under the guise of holiness.

A Christian in the Spirit of God does without the things that bring temporary gratification and cause the flesh pleasure, but instead chooses righteousness to satisfy God, not out to please people, but equipped to save souls.

As a result, the tyrants are out to silence God’s prophets and mute Yahweh’s servants, the men, and women who teach about Christ’s righteousness, repentance, and holiness, building the body of Christ’s spiritual house, leading to Spiritual maturity and self-control.

The preachers of apostasy know that if we get past the demonic trip wires set to cause us to fall, they will plunge into obscurity. God’s power will convict the church of their sin and idolatry, and the slaves will be free to see the wolves for who they are.

Thus the beginning of a new walk with Christ and the blessings that many have paid to receive and received, none will begin to reap the benefits of the true faith in Jesus Christ. It takes a few years to be changed entirely but don’t be alarmed because we are forever evolving in faith through the Holy Spirit of God, and aren’t you ready to seek the truth, to replace the lies?

A genuine born-again believer will eventually become Christ-like, and if we strive for godliness with a refined heart that only comes from God, instead of worldly pleasure-seeking, we begin to share in pure Grace.

Still, for the lifelong Christian in-name-only refusing to turn from the devils’ ways, the issue of hell is real. It’s time to question yourself, “Am I saved, or have I backslidden so severely I can’t see the truth?”

Please, I say this while my heart is crying out, repent and seek the Kingdom of God with all your heart, and the promise of God is all things will be added.

Remember, the truth and degree of goodness are not found in church attendance, tithing, traditions, seed sowing, or any worldly thing. To believe this confirms that the heart is wickedly deceitful; who can accept it?

There are ten laws by which we give account to God—The ten Commandments, and the Holy Spirit weighs goodness according to the presence of God in the born-again; therefore, it’s time to be baptized into the Holy Spirit, and like John, the Baptizer said, in

He was speaking of Jesus Christ, who was and is and still to come yet wholly functioning on the earth presently through the Holy Spirit of God.

Luke 18:19
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

The Bible says good deeds are as good as filthy rags, in Isaiah 64:5-7: “You’re welcome those who gladly do right, who remember Your ways. Indeed You were angry, for we sinned. How can we be saved if we remain in our sins? 6Each of us has become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind. 7No one calls on Your name or strives to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us and delivered us into the hand of our iniquity.

The Spiritual power of the word brings clarity, and healing and salvation are found only through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit’s strength is enough; so that when we are weak, He gives makes us strong.

Romans 12:2, we are taught, “do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Blessings,🌿

  1. Hi I’m a new follower and I’m 12 years old. I think I have fallen away form Christ. Since I used to pray a lot more and I just stopped now I fell condemned. I just want to know if there is any hope for me .

    • Hello Ruby, and thank you for your message. First, Jesus loves you so much, and no matter how many mistakes you and I make, He will forgive you when you repent.

To repent means you are sincerely sorry to God for sin. Jesus will always forgive our wrongs when we are sorry to Him for what we have done, and guess what?

He forgives and forgets about the old sin, so once you repent and pray again, so should you. Never hold onto that old stuff once you give it to Jesus to make clean.

I think it’s beautiful that a girl your age has already placed her faith in Jesus. This is very wise, and I’m sure your parents have something to do with that. It’s great to hear. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is so important in our lives, and we all must read it. There is power in the word of God to help us grow Spiritually, so you don’t feel condemned when you make a mistake.

You mentioned you had fallen away from Christ. It happens to many people when we stop making time for God to use our phones or watch TV; anything at all can become an idol placed before God, and that’s not good. Still, we can change that by starting over, and even adults do this, so it doesn’t surprise me that you have stopped making time for Jesus.

But you should know that everything you do in life, all of the love, fun, joy, and every gift you have come from Jesus. He died on the cross so that we may have life, and so we all have to make time for Him.

You are not condemned, child, not at all. These are evil Spirits that make us think that, but as a Christian, you have the power to say, “evil spirit, I rebuke you and won’t listen to you. Go away in Jesus’ name,” and poof. They have to leave under Christ’s authority.

Ruby, you have to start praying again to Jesus. The only thing you have to do is get down and start praying. May I suggest 15 minutes every morning before school?

You seem mature for twelve years old, and you can do it. Tell God you want to make this agreement with Him because you love Him and need His help. He already loves you.

There is always hope in Jesus Christ because, Ruby, Jesus is our hope, and He never changes.

      1 John 5:13-14
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

      1 Thessalonians 1:3
We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

You see, our hope is always in Jesus, and in your love for Him, you can start over and pray again, and please start reading your Bible.

      Do you have one?

Well, I hope this helps you, and God bless you, dear girl. I pray for you the light of Christ in your life and overall that you and your brother do, in Jesus’ name.

      God Bless you!

      -Christine
